What if, in the 1930s, my father had studied economics at
Harvard, went to Germany and wrote articles in support of Hitler and National
Socialism; and what if my mother left me with my grandparents and sailed off to
distant lands to promote the ideals of National Socialism; and what if my
grandparents belonged to a church that supported the Nazi Party in America; and
what if my grandfather was a member of the American Nazi Party and was on the
FBI’s watch list of American Nazis; and what if my grandfather introduced me to
a self-admitted member of the American Nazi Party and whom I wrote about in an
autobiographical book describing him as a mentor to whom I turned to many times
for advice and guidance; and what if, when in college, I admitted to seeking
out and associating with Nazis; and what if I sat in a church for 20 years and
listened to a man, who I described as my spiritual adviser and best friend,
engage in hate-filled tirades against the United States of America and
espoused the virtues of National Socialism; and what if I got elected
President of the United States and selected as cabinet members and advisers a
man who admitted to be a Nazi, a woman who admitted that Adolf Hitler was one
of her favorite philosophers, and a man who said that Adolf Hitler was right
about power coming from the end of a gun; and what if I made statements that
mirrored Adolf Hitler’s philosophy on governing and economics?
Would you believe I was a Nazi?
So what if:
Barack Hussein Obama’s father had studied economics at Harvard and
returned to his native Kenya and wrote articles in support of socialism,
claiming that the government had the authority to confiscate 100% of everyone’s
earnings; and what if his mother abandoned him to his maternal grandparents and traveled to
foreign lands to espouse the values of communism; and what if his grandparents belonged to
a church nicknamed “The Little Red Church” because of its support of communist
causes; and what if his maternal grandfather was on the FBI’s watch list of American
communists; and what if his grandfather introduced him to Frank Marshall Davis, a member of
the American Communist Party who Obama described as his mentor to whom he
turned to many times for guidance; and what if he sought out and associated with radicals,
socialists, Marxists and communists when he was in college; and what if for 20 years Obama
sat and listened to anti-American and pro-Marxist rantings in the church of
Jeremiah Wright, a man whom he described as his best friend; and what if Obama hired Van
Jones, a member of the American Communist Party as his Green Jobs Czar; hired
Anita Dunn, who said Mao Tse-Tung was one of her favorite philosophers, as his
Communications Director; and hired Ron Bloom as his Manufacturing Czar, who said he
agreed with Chairman Mao’s assertion that political power came from the point
of a gun; and what if Barack Obama said that he wanted to “spread the wealth
around;” and that he wanted to raise capital gains taxes for the “purposes of
fairness” even though it raised less money (“spreading the wealth around” and “fairness” being ideals of Marxism.)
