We’re from the TSA and we’re here to protect YOU!

Let’s see now, it’s not proper for TSA to use profiling in their quest
to keep American travelers safe, but it’s just fine to strip search and
use criminal pat-down procedures on old women, children and NUNS.  In
Houston, a three-year-old girl was terrorized by a TSA agent.  The whole
sordid affair showing the girl screaming in fear was captured on video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQV4thChJVM.  Now CAIR (the Council on
American Islamic Relations) says that TSA can only pat down Islamic
women above their neck and Secretary Napolitano refuses to address this.

I can only ask WTF is going on in this country?  Up is down, in is out
and 2+2=5.  And Americans, once strong advocates of liberty, have
capitulated to an ever-growing threat from an ever-growing federal
government.  All in the name of security.

These invasive procedures, although well-intentioned (like many
government intrusions into our lives,) are a clear violation of the 4th
Amendment.  Americans are guaranteed to be secure in their persons and
are protected from UNWARRANTED searches and seizures.  Whatever happened
to “innocent before proven guilty?”

Where are the constitutional conservatives on this?  It looks like they’ve gone into hiding.

This is always how the road to tyranny starts.  Not giant leaps, but
baby-steps.  Today it’s only pat-downs at the airports, tomorrow it will
be cameras set up on city streets (oh, sorry, that’s already being
done.)

It was Ben Franklin that said:  “Any society that would give up a little
liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both.”  How is that he was so much smarter than we?

If I engaged in that same TSA activity I would be hauled off to jail as a predator.
The fact that Janet Napolitano gives CAIR a ‘waiver’ on this issue is criminal.
