Climate as weapon of change
So back in February of 2014 there was an article which showed that The Period Of No Global Warming Will Soon Be Longer Than the Period of Actual Global Warming.
‘97% Of Climate Scientists Agree’ Is 100% Wrong Bottom line: What the 97% of climate scientists allegedly agree on is very mild (the warming so far, is a whopping 0.8 degrees over the past 150 years) and in no way justifies restricting the energy that billions need.
Lost in the noise of science ‘for political purpose’ advocacy and roar of complicit media this little NASA gem nearly evaded our view: “A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers.” NASA Study: Mass Gains of Antarctic Ice Sheet Greater than Losses
Then, there was THIS as was revealed in Senate testimony just last month (October of 2015 between Senator Cruz and Sierra Club President Aaron Mair) :
Cruz: “How do you address the fact that in the last 18 years the satellite data show no demonstrable warming whatsoever?”
Mair: “Sir, I would rely upon the Union of Concerned Scientists, and I would rely upon the evidence, again, of our own NOAA officials, the data are there.”
Cruz: “Is it correct that the satellite data over the last 18 years demonstrate no significant warming?”
Mair: “No.”
Cruz: “How is it incorrect?”
(After eight seconds of silence and gesticulation, Mair vaguely answered)
Mair: “Based upon our experts, it’s been refuted long ago, and there is no longer, it’s not up for scientific debate.”
Cruz: “I do find it highly interesting that the President of the Sierra Club when asked what the satellite data demonstrate about warming, apparently is relying on staff. The nice thing about the satellite data is these are objective numbers. Are you familiar with the phrase, “the Pause”?
(after 14 seconds embarrassing silence)
Mair: “The answer is yes and, uh, essentially, uh, we rest on our position.”
Cruz: “You said you are familiar with the Pause, so to what does the phrase “the Pause” refer?
(After another 14 seconds)
Cruz: “I’m sorry, you said you were familiar with that term. So I asked to what does it refer?”
(A few seconds of silence then after staff help)
Mair: “Essentially it is a slow in global warming during the ‘40s, sir.”
Cruz: “During the ’40s? Is it not the term that global warming alarmists have used to explain the ‘inconvenient truth,’ to use a phrase popularized by former Vice President Al Gore, that the satellite data over the last 18 years demonstrate no significant warming whatsoever? Global warming alarmists call that “the Pause” because the computer models say there should be dramatic warming, and yet the actual satellites taking the measurement don’t show any significant warming.”
Mair: “But Senator, 97 percent of the scientists concur and agree that there is global warming, and anthropogenic impact with regards to global warming.”
Cruz: “The problem with that statistic that gets cited a lot is that it’s based on one bogus study. And indeed your response . . . I would point out your response is quite striking. I asked about the science and the evidence, the actual data. We have satellites, they’re measuring temperature. That should be relevant. And your answer was, ‘Pay no attention to your lying eyes, and the numbers, that the satellites show. Instead, listen to the scientists who are receiving massive grants, who tell us, do not debate the science.’”
Then lastly, there is this gambit:
Republicans say President Barack Obama plans to go around the Senate to enact a climate change agreement at the meeting in Paris beginning at the end of this month, according to a report at The Hill.
“Just like the Kyoto Protocol and the United Nations framework convention on climate change, any agreement that commits our nation to targets or timetables must go through the process established by the founders in our Constitution. It must be submitted to the United States Senate for its advice and consent,” Barrasso told Todd Stern, the State Department’s top negotiator for the deal. (It should be noted that Senator Barrasso was the only one present at the hearing not fawning over the State Department’s deal.)
In the end, it’s not about ‘Climate Change!’ Instead, Obama is using the power of the Office of the Presidency, to circumvent the Senate on the Climate Change treaty, and it is just another weapon in Obama’s process for ‘fundamentally transforming the United States of America!’
Transforming us (the U.S.) from: a limited representative republic, where ‘Rights’ come from God, not government; where ALL political power emanates from the people guaranteed by a Written Constitution that recognizes: Private Property Rights and assures Religious Liberty to: a dystopian perversion of our founders intent. A purgatorial place where guv’ment subjects are ruled and controlled by the arbitrary and capricious nature of a raw political power that recognizes NO authority; but, it’s own!
Today there is a nice little follow-up on this topic.
“… A team of prominent scientists gathered in Texas today at a climate summit to declare that fears of man-made global warming were ‘irrational’ and ‘based on nonsense’ that ‘had nothing to do with science.’ They warned that ‘we are being led down a false path’ by the upcoming UN climate summit in Paris…”
